Single Moms Group in Grimes (Single Parent Provision)

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Are you a single parent who desires to connect with others “who get it”? While the ways in which someone becomes a single parent can be very different, day-to-day life has many similarities. Single parents are invited to connect with others walking a similar journey and together seek what matters most. At each gathering, single moms can expect time to share, listen, laugh, and grow while participating in relevant studies in a healthy encouraging environment. This Single Moms Group meets on a weekly basis with dinner provided for single moms and their children. Children and youth programming is available through Grimes United Methodist Church.

Build the Living Cross

9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Bring a wooden cross to life with flowers on the Thursday before Easter! Join us at Stuart Flowers & Gifts for this free family-friendly event. Bring flowers from your yard or garden to place in a wooden cross covered in chicken wire. We have plenty of flowers, though, if you're not able to bring any. Create a beautiful, colorful cross for all to enjoy through Easter weekend. This year is our second year offering this event, and it is a great opportunity to experience a small town and pause for reflection at the beauty of the cross.
