NewLife Celebrate Recovery

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

NewLife Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday evening, 52 weeks a year, and provides a healing, healthy environment for adults affected by hurts, hang-ups and habits. At Celebrate Recovery, you will hear about the healing power of Jesus Christ through eight recovery principles. These biblical principles, when applied to our lives, not only allow us to grow spiritually, but free us from our dysfunctional behaviors, drawing us closer to a stronger personal relationship with God and others. Grimes First Presbyterian Church Community Women's Bible Study

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

We are hosting a 5 week Community Women's Bible Study beginning the week after Easter! Please see the attached flyer for dates and times, invite a friend, and join us! We are so excited about this opportunity to get together and study with not only women from our church but hopefully new friends from the community! We will be studying the story When God Doesn't Fix It, by Laura Story. There will be a video lesson and discussion. You do NOT have to read the novel or have the study guide to participate, but if you want, they are available on Amazon for purchase! Please feel free to spread the word! Tell all friends and family that you think may be interested! Here is a brief introduction provided by the company: “Laura Story’s life took an unexpected turn when her husband, Martin, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The news brought Laura’s dreams of a fairy-tale life to an end. Yet, it also brought her a deeper intimacy with God as she turned to him and allowed him to rewrite her story. In this five-session curriculum, Laura shows that while God may not fix every broken thing in our lives, He will lead us to a place where we are better because of it.” We will meet in Fellowship Hall of the Grimes Presbyterian Church at 410 S. Third St. on Thursday evenings at 6:30 beginning April 25th through May 23rd and plan to be finished in an hour to an hour and a half each session. Hope many of you will join us! (If you wish to purchase the study guide it is available on Amazon. Also, you don’t have to have read the novel or to have the study guide to participate.) Questions: Call or leave a message at 515-986-3720. For more information visit: http://grimesfirstpresbyterianchurch.org/
